Just a bit of history...The Taos Inn was originally made up of several homes  built in the 1800's around a  small plaza and  well the spectacular  lobby encircling the old well is one of the most popular spots to  relax after a long day's work , sit outside on the patio for Nachos and people watching or meet a client for  lunch. locals as well as tourist enjoy good conversation entertainment  food and drink. in the  1890' the largest of the homes became Taos first physician Dt. Thomas Paul Martin and his artist wife, Helen.  in 1912 the  Taos Society of Artists was founded by Ernest L. Blumenschein Today the  Taos Inn is still a center for Taos' intellectual, social and artistic activity.
