The Banana republic! as refered to by many Taosenos. 1000 ft lower altitude creates lush growing season. A green thumbs delight. Many properties  border along  the Embudo River and  or the Rio Grande. Agricultural, Eclectic shops, home made goods, arts, crafts, furniture and pottery are a big part of  this rich culture. Orchards, organic farming, fantastic vineyards, vegetables and  great wine are produced in this area. Home of the  Dixon art tour.  At  any time of the year this rural community is  quaint and  charming.
